Code of Ethics

A Club that holds safety, respect for the environment and respect for others as top priorities.

CODE OF ETHICS

  • Safe operation of your ATV is essential for the fun and enjoyment of all
  • Take everything that you brought in back out of the woods with you. Don't leave garbage lying around.
  • Avoid damaging the bush in the area - the environment is fragile and easily scarred. Stay on the established trails. Get the approval of the club Trail Management Coordinator before establishing a new trail.
  • Stay within the hunting and fishing limits - take only what you can reasonably use.
  • Ride responsibly. Maintain reasonable speeds, look ahead for oncoming traffic, yield right of ways and accompany youths at all times when they are on a machine.
  • Make sure your ATV is licensed, insured and in safe working condition.
  • Leave the facilities in as good or better shape than you found them - remember, they are for the enjoyment of everyone.
  • Make sure your fire is out when you leave it, for even a short period.
  • Cut only deadfall for firewood and camp structures from outside the designated campsite area. Work to keep the live trees healthy.
  • Wherever possible, use established campsites and facilities. If you must use an alternate site, ensure a safe fire pit, clean toilet area (bury the evidence!), and leave the area clean.
  • Use alcohol responsibly.
  • Be courteous to other visitors, and offer to help if you see them in trouble.
  • Respect the Ecological Reserves and Special Places. Help to educate others of their importance.
  • Respect the private property of others - trappers' cabins, boats, equipment, campsites and the like should be left undisturbed.
  • Respect the privacy of other visitors or inhabitants of the area, including wildlife.
  • When boating, follow safe boating practices.
